The BluPay Customer Self-Checkout application is created for customers, who can create their own carts by scanning items in the store on their own mobile phone through the BluPay app. Based on the merchant’s preference, customer can pay on their own device OR they would receive a QR code containing all the items along with the final amount due. This would be scanned by the cashier with mPOS device and the customer’s cart gets imported to the mPOS device. The last leg of shopping, which is payment, would be completed on the mPOS app. This has significantly helped in busting queues and reduces the amount of time required to clear a customer from the cash counter as the article scanning process has already been completed by the customer. Omni-Channel: The customer also has the option of shopping from home using the mobile app by selecting a nearby store and accessing that store’s catalog. Customer could choose to have the order home-delivered or pick up the order in store (BOPIS).
